Bruce Beck has more than 30 years of successful public relations and marketing communications experience. Prior to forming DB&R, Bruce held senior level positions at some of the nation’s most prestigious public relations and advertising agencies. During his career he has designed and directed the campaigns for such notable firms as Korn/Ferry International, Allen Matkins, WET Design, Cushman & Wakefield, Oppenheimer, Steyr Daimler Puch of America, Weyerhaeuser, The Australian Department of Trade, Hang Ten International, Phone-Mate and Huffy Bicycles. He also supervised the media relations activities and the advertising agency review for The Bass Group in its acquisition of American Savings. Bruce began his career in the music division at Rogers and Cowan, one of the nation's leading entertainment public relations firms.
Bruce is active in a variety of business and civic groups. He currently sits on the Planning Committee for the Urban Land Institute-Los Angeles District Council where he previously served as chair of the StimULI Breakfast subcommittee and is member of the National Association of Real Estate Editors. He also served on the Los Angeles Olympic Organizing Committee, the Los Angeles Chapter of the American Heart Association and was a member of the Board of Directors for the Ventura County Junior Golf Association. Bruce has been involved in high school sports for 22 years as a head coach in baseball and golf. In 2014 he was named California High School Golf Coach of the Year by the California Coaches Association.
Bruce turned down a professional baseball contract with the Kansas City Royals in 1972 to attend Pepperdine University on an athletic scholarship where he earned a BA in Communication Theory.
